warrent was issued for sisters arrest but she was not made aware of such.neither was her probation officer made aware.She always reportd to her PO.She has to pay back a debt and was doing so.Due to financial and family responsibilities payments were some times late.Her PO assured her that every thing was ok to pay what she had and this she did.Hampton VA police did not act on the warrant in a timely matter which made her a fugitive without even knowing so.She came from work and asked the officer what was going on that she was confused.She was allowed to call her PO whom had no idea what was going on or who issued the warrant.Well she spend weeks in jail and is still asking for help to clear up the matter to no avail.The warrant came from north carolina for making late payments,it was issued in febtuary'98 but was not acted upon by the police until time lapsed and she beame the fugitive.We finaly through prayer got up some bail money.Now we cannot find a lawyer to assist.SShe is not on drugs or a dealer she has been working at times two jobs she is in school.Now all of this is going to be lost and she will be doingtime due to ill communications and red tape.What can we do???Her cout day is this Wednesday and no lawyer wants to travel from VA to NC and know one will help us.She was assured in febuary by her PO that even though the payments were late to do what she could and every thing was to be in order.But it obviously was not.Please respond asap.TheBrownCrewInv@webtv.net
